Why Can't I Change My Email Address?

Your primary email address is the unique identifier of your ONS Mail account.

To protect account security and maintain system integrity, the primary email address cannot be changed after your account has been created.

If you need to use another email address, you can create an Alias (Email Alias) or register a new ONS Mail account.

Why Is My Email Address Permanent?

Your primary email address is used for several essential account functions, including:

• Account authentication
• Mailbox identification
• Security verification
• Account recovery
• Integration with ONS Mail services

Changing the primary email address could affect these services and may result in account access or email delivery issues.

For this reason, the email address assigned during registration remains permanent.

Using an Alias (Email Alias)

If you would like to receive emails using a different address, you can create an Alias.

An alias is an additional email address linked to your existing mailbox.

For example:

Primary address:

user@onsmail.com

Alias:

contact@onsmail.com

Emails sent to either address are delivered to the same mailbox.

Using aliases allows you to manage multiple email addresses without creating another account.

When Should You Create a New Account?

There are situations where creating a new ONS Mail account is the better solution.

For example:

• You need a completely different email identity.
• You want a separate mailbox.
• You require independent account settings.
• You are creating an account for another person or organization.

Each new account includes its own mailbox, login credentials, profile settings, and personal preferences.
